The Herald News is reporting that counterfeit $20 bills have been passed around in Sugar Grove.
Methods for spotting a counterfeit bill include
- checking for identical serial numbers with other bills
- looking for the portrait watermark, visible from the front when held up to the light
- looking for the security strip, which will match the denomination of the bill
