Zion-Benton High School is expected to perform the musical Beauty and the Beast, at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 15, 16, and 17, at the high school.

We also note in November 2010 (performance of The Wedding Singer), Zion-Benton combined musical forces with New Tech High @ Zion-Benton East. We aren’t sure if the same will happen this year, because a calendar page is not readily available from the NTH@ZBE website. However, we did find this in a PDF document on the new school’s website:
Students interested in being in the Fall Musical: The show will be “Beauty and the Beast.
o Workshops will be held Tuesday, September 4 and Thursday, September 6 right afterschool in the choir room (room 226) until 3:50—Students can take the activity bus home.
o Auditions: Students auditioning for a leading role should audition on Tuesday, September 11. Students auditioning for a chorus role, should audition on Wednesday, September 12. Singing call backs for leads will also be on Wednesday, September 12. Acting call backs for leads will be on Thursday, September 13. All auditions will be in the choir room right after school until 4:00 pm.
o Stage Crew Meeting: will be held in the choir room right after school on Friday, September 14.
Sounds like Beauty & the Beast will serve as the musical for both schools!
