Australian bush fires claim about 200 lives

Australian bush fires, in the state of Victoria, primarily near Kinglake, Albury, and the area east of Melbourne, have already killed about 200 people, and their intensity is expected to increase before officials can put them out, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is reporting.

Officials believe some of the fires may have been started on purpose, an act that Prime Minister Kevin Rudd likened to “mass murder.”
