US Constitution turns 226 today

One of the historical headlines running on our home page today is the ratification of the Constitution. It was written during the Philadelphia Convention—now known as the Constitutional Convention—which convened from May 25 to Sept 17, 1787. It was signed on September 17, 1787.

Even the US Department of Education has a resource page for educators about the Constitution and Constitution Day, here. That page reminds us all that “each educational institution that receives federal funds for a fiscal year is required to hold an educational program about the US Constitution for its students.”
