Vote for the Illinois Tollway H.S. cover art contest

-

The Illinois Tollway, every year sponsors an art contest for the cover of its map, and high school students submit their designs.

Now the 10 finalists for the winning design have been put on a Survey Money site, and readers are being asked to vote for the single design they think best reflects the theme for this year, which is “Enhancing Drivers Experience via Innovation and Technology.”

“Today’s high school students represent the next generation of drivers,” the administration writes, “so we want to see their vision for how to address the needs of a more sophisticated driver through technology and innovation.”

Since nobody actually uses paper maps anymore, replacing those with GPS units in their cars, for the most part, the art contest is really just a way of improving awareness for high school students on the tollway and as new drivers in general.

Students whose artwork was selected as a finalist are:

  1. Vanessa Arenas
  2. Luis Chavez
  3. Emily Davis
  4. Alyssa Elborne
  5. Haylee Gemeiner
  1. Kaylee Howell
  2. Raziel Ilumin
  3. Alanna Ledvina
  4. Manuella Rodela
  5. Kate Weithers
