Our website was temporarily offline

-

Most of the websites run by Voxitatis were offline for a brief period today, following the upgrade of the server that hosts the website.

It seems we were using an outdated version of PHP, among other things. Unfortunately the company doing the migration forgot to copy over a few important databases to the new server:

  • Musicals in Illinois
  • IHSA sports champions

These are backed up, of course, so they will be restored in response to a support ticket I have filed with the hosting company.

These snafus happen occasionally, and I support their decision to upgrade the server. It will enable a few things for us.
