We are extremely pleased to announce some news of our own: I am delighted to say, for the first time ever, that “Voxitatis is registered in the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.”
The office issued its official Certificate of Registration on Oct 8. On most of our stationery and on key Web pages, we’ll use the ® symbol next to our name, although our intellectual property attorney has advised us that “failure to provide such notice would not limit (our) common law rights in the mark.”
We began the process of federal registration with her on June 20, 2012, meaning the entire process took a little under 16 months.
Our registration number is 4,413,283, and our International Class is 41. The mark is registered to describe our services “for providing an interactive website featuring information and links relating to educational mentoring and academic coaching, in class 41 (U.S. CLS. 100, 101 AND 107).
“The mark consists of standard characters without claim to any particular font, style, size, or color.”
