Programming note: You Can Afford College

-

Maryland Public Television, in partnership with the Maryland Higher Education Commission, will present a live program at 8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, entitled “You Can Afford College.”

Mario Armstrong will host the show, which will feature interviews with financial aid professionals based in Maryland, as well as college students from the state who have found creative ways to pay for school. Topics will include government aid, paperwork, public and private grants and scholarships. It will also, we’re told, discuss loan applications and tax laws applicable to paying for college.

The live call-in number, during the broadcast, will be (800) 222-1292. The host will also be monitoring Twitter using the hashtag #MPTycac.
