The Naperville Sun is reporting that three teens were struck by a reckless driver of a red Thunderbird as they stood on a street corner at Hill Avenue and Galena Boulevard in Aurora, police said. So reckless was this speeder, by the way, that the vehicle jumped the curb at the corner and bent a street sign in half, the Sun reported.

A clerk at a nearby Dollar Store said the teens were in there, with a fourth teen who was not physically injured in the incident, joking around.

The injuries sustained were serious but not reported to be life-threatening.
