Child prostitution crackdown yields 44 Chicago-area arrests

The Chicago Sun-Times News Group is reporting that officials in DuPage, Cook, Will, and Lake Counties, in cooperation with the FBI, arrested more than 40 people in connection with Operation Cross-Country, aimed at the recovery of minors engaged in prostitution.

Nationwide, the effort has resulted in the return of 48 minors and the arrest of over 550 people, the papers reported.
