Lord Ahmed, of the UK, was sentenced to 12 weeks in jail for the death of another man that resulted from a car crash on a British highway, while Lord Ahmed was texting on his cellphone.
The BBC reported that the peer has admitted to dangerous driving, and because the sentence involves being placed in custody, he also faces dismissal from the Labour Party, the British Broadcasting Corporation is reporting.
