* The Quad-City Times reports the score of the Newman-Byron game as 14-16, while both the IHSA and MaxPreps still had a score of 12-16 as of Sunday morning. The Times reported an intentional safety by Byron and then a punt late in the game, but MaxPreps doesn’t have that. We’ll keep checking and make any corrections. The game was still an upset and still one we missed, whether it was by 4 points or 2.

Of the 32 playoff games, we called 24 correctly and eight incorrectly for a percentage of 75 percent, which is pretty good for the playoffs. We have readjusted our algorithms to take into account the actual scores in the quarterfinal round. We’ll post our predictions late Monday, following IHSA’s official posting of game times and locations for the semifinal round in the IHSA football playoffs.
