The Associated Press reports that 4-year-old Haleigh Cummings of Satsuma, Fla., about 70 miles north of Orlando, was missing as of 3 a.m., Tuesday, and police are dragging the St. John River.
At this point, they say there are no signs of forced entry, and Haleigh could have simply wandered off into the rural area around her home. But they are also interviewing people, just in case she was abducted in the middle of the night.
Her father was at work and returned to their double-wide mobile home to find his girlfriend, who shared a bedroom with Haleigh and her 4-year-old brother, awake and distraught over Haleigh’s disappearance.
