Lewis Laury, 24, has been charged with second-degree rape and sexual offense in the third degree in connection with a 12-year-old girl who went missing for seven days, the Baltimore Banner and WJZ-TV (CBS) report.

Baltimore County Police said Laury is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with the girl. He is reportedly a teacher at Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School in Baltimore City, although the girl was found by law enforcement in Pikesville, in Baltimore County.
Detectives with the Crimes Against Children Unit reportedly worked with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and other law enforcement agencies to locate the child, whose family had last seen her on June 20.
A note was found taped to her bedroom door, saying she was traveling to Pennsylvania to visit family members. The girl’s mother said she had never heard of the family members referred to in the note.
